Attention USF reps:

who likes the new Penetration rules? i like it. less whiny begging. 25% is easy.
these parameters are difficult enough for reps like myself with 50 customers.

those favor cases are a joke and held no value in the end. glad it's over. afraid the 25% will be too easy and they'll up it again.

I still don't like getting beaten over the head to sell Scoop. I've been doing this a long time. I don't appreciate being treated like a rookie.

the 25% will go up, no doubt. At least finally they realized that sending in one case to get off the sh*t list wasn't doing USF any good
We still have a bunch struggling with new COOKBOOK comm formula, our DC can't or won't find a way to help them out, some guys selling $80K and netting less than $500/week

I sometimes wonder who comes up with these products and why they think customers are looking for them. Like the last Scoop. I don't have a lot of millenials going into my customers. I'm sure some TMs do.

Also, why re-introduce previous Scoop items? It would be easier to focus on new items.

I like the fact that the Chick-arrones are a $4lb bi-product, I can't imagine corporate has more than $.50 to $.60Lb  in cost? Also the Funnel cake sticks-$7.50lb ??? I will say the Kouign Amann is killer, very, very good...but you have to have the right type of placement. I do like the new format of placement, 25% buying two, I just dread when that number doubles, you know it's coming

It seems like this new SCOOP was all about the Millennials. Meatless chicken wings, creme fresh, all natural chicken tender. Which item will be DWO first? Creme Fresh has my vote.

My Sicilian family is up in arms over this cultural appropriation!

And that's not how we make schiacciata! LOL [nono][nono][crazy][crazy]

Meatless wings and meatless crumbles. Not enough demand to bother. Kohlrabi will rot in the coolers.

Can we start a running forum where US Foods TM's post every time they sell meatless wings? I can't imagine a restaurateur in their right minds buying that.

The reasoning on the Scoop materials was: "Analytics show that people are more likely than ever to try alternatives for meat". Those people (even millenials) are thinking of veggie burgers and cashew cheese...not non-meat shaped like animal parts.

I have yet to sell either the meatless wings or the imitation ground beef to anyone. Even my health-conscious customers go "I don't think so".

Here's the thing about the "fake meat" comfort foods.

They are actually much better suited for "normal" restaurants. Health conscious customers don't eat fake meats because they aren't particularly natural.

Market those items to CAMPS, UNIVERSITIES, SCHOOLS, Bars and Grills that want a veg option, flexitarian places in hip neighborhoods, college towns, late night college food etc.

My kids, who are vegetarians, would love these, and I would be happy to find them on a menu to order for them.

Here's something similar in a very popular 4 location Pizza chain in the midwest:

https://pizzaluce.com/menu/  Look under APPS "Lucky Bird Nuggets"

On the US Foods meatless wings... it could be a problem that they are "vegetarian" and not "vegan". Seriously.
