This story was adapted from real life Drama.
 
To empower All salesman out there.
If you been looking to increase your income. Because you are hard worker and you are not a lazy ass. After you asked your management for a raise, over & over and is like talking to a Brick wall.
RECIPE at own risk: Get yourself a deal with the competitor USF. Take 50% + of your current business base. 
After the Big Blue gets out of coma.
They will have the clever idea to pay you now more money. Just to get you back.
 After you took all the business and lower the margins. Now you decide to comeback making more money and the Big Blue will be making less GPD's.
What a bunch of Genius is the management at Big Blue.
 That is the most incredible DUMB ASS IDEA and sends the wrong message: That is the WRONG MESSAGE you sending to the great loyal veteran working sales force.
BIG BLUE management, Awake up and smell the coffee.
Maybe why the huge turn over problem.
The 70 million yearly problem.
Smart are the companies that realize, paying their Sales force a fair market wages avoid the costly loss of good salesman and business.

your an idiot! spineless and pathetic. grow some balls and work!! your the type of lazy finger pointing wimp that has ruined the integrity of this business.your the type that blames management for all your short comings and blames everyone else around him for your lack of success. Spineless! try going out and working hard, supporting your team mates  and following direction> you said happy sales people  equals more sales!!! you could not be further from the truth. More sales makes happy sales people!!!!!more sales makes succesful sales people and makes a company grow. You are the problem with our industry so why dont you just leave??? Please!!!

 I have to agree on that comment. Why would you want to put your customers in a situation going back and forth? What does that say about you? Your type is the reasons customers show no loyalty.

Wow!!!!  when I first read the original post yesterday, I thought .... no way is someone that far from reality in this business.

The final line speaks of sales veterans. From the ramblings early in the post, I doubt this was from a veteran. Sounds very much like a kid just starting in the biz, looking for that easy "make it rich quick" way, that many in this younger generation think is owed to them.

Your customers, good business practices and respect, are earned and learned over time. Nothing comes easy in this, or in any part of your life.

A few thoughts on this post....

Clearly, English is this person's second language.  It reads like Chinese Algebra.

However, to me this is an ill fated attempt at sarcasm by Usuck rooted in frustration - with the company and himself.  Note that he says it is a "dumb ass idea."

Probably somewhat new and not overly successful.

Foodservice sales is a self rewarding business where "raises" are earned every day in the form of increased sales and commissions.

The next distributor rep I meet that "takes 50% or more of his/her current business base" to a competitor will be the first I've ever met.

CCat's closing line puts as well as anyone can.
