They have been having rumors of him selling for years. He is not selling. If he ever takes a role out of the company then his nephews will run Cheney.

I am sure the rumors stem from those who hope he sells cause CBI eats their lunch LOL

Not sure where Investigator gets his information or why he has it out for Cheney Brothers but he is very, very wrong. Byron Russell of Cheney Brothers is of no relation to Samuel Russell of Russell and Co. nor is he related to any of the Russell's from Orlando who owned water and electric companies. But he posted it on the internet so it must be true...

You registered just to set the record straight? First of all I inquired , I didn't claim,  that Cheney owner Byron Cheney Russell is a relative of the opium trading Russell family. Secondly Foodie it was not the Russell clan that owned water and electric it was Judge John "Moses" Cheney. So strike two, shall we try for strike three?

What's interesting to me, is the Judge acquired huge tracts of land in Orlando and turned it into a hunting preserve for the wealthy, very similar to "Kings Ranch" in Texas, where the oligarchy including the Royal Family love to hunt wild game and god only knows what else they do.

If you read the article about Cheney employee and former disgraced Palm Beach Commissioner Warren Newell, the article states that the fund raising winding for Newell will be held at (and I quote) "Cheney Brothers boss Byron Russell's palatial hunting lodge in the Ranch Colony neighborhood of Jupiter". So there is a common "hobby" that Byron shares with the late Judge John "Moses" Cheney and at the same hunting grounds founded by the Judge.

Blue blood families like the Russell and Cheney's often intermarry, like the Forbes and the Perkins, or the Vanderbilt and Cecil families for example.

EST PALM BEACH — Now armed with a new executive job at Palm Beach Gardens food distributor Cheney Brothers, disgraced former Palm Beach County Commissioner Warren Newell is sneaking ever so gingerly back into politics, and the good graces of Sheriff Ric Bradshaw.

Newell, who was convicted of felony honest service fraud in 2007 for taking bribes while sitting on the county commission, hand-signed a stack of invitations to a February fundraiser for Bradshaw.

The big wingding is scheduled for Feb. 11 at Cheney Brothers boss Byron Russell‘s palatial hunting lodge in the Ranch Colony neighborhood of Jupiter.

One of those who’s on the mailing list told Gossip Extra he received an invitation that was signed by hand by Newell.

Another received an email from Newell that read: “You should come, Byron’s house is worth the trip.”

“Needless to say, it ended up in the trash,” the source said. “It’s like they think the public doesn’t remember what Newell did. He shouldn’t come within a mile of a political ca

I just don't like to see misinformation spread about a company and family whom I greatly respect and it appeared to me that you were trying to link both to something they are not. The "Palatial Hunting Lodge" is not that at all, it's a private residence and is 2 1/2 hours south of Orlando so there is no connection there either.
