Well I was just thinking thatthis is the 1st Christmas in a long long time that I have not really given my customers anything for Christmas. It has really been tight and I'm not making what I used to make( thanks new commission plan) Anyone else in the same boat. It's weird when I walk in and some ask " hey where's my gift this year" yes I have accounts like that. Anyone have any thoughts or am I just reading into this too much?

We don't get a Chirstmas Bonus like we used to get years ago at Sysco it was some good money and I'm only a MA. Anyone else get bonus from companies this year?

Not sure what Sysco you work out, but we've never gotten a Christmas bonus. I usually give my customers a little something every year during December, even if it was something my wife baked for them. I joked throughout the year that I was giving them a present every week of the year by kind of being a part of their business and not being on their payroll so to speak.

Yeah, this is the first year I have not given presents in 25 years. Lower commissions and 2 kids in college.

Somehow our desk calendars mysteriously disappeared. HR said they were going to look at tape from security cameras in the warehouse. TMs would have to pay out of our pockets (no reimbursement) for replacement calendars. Marketing never re-ordered them. WTF?

Don't feel bad. I stopped giving out gifts after our commission grid was basically cut in half about 1.5 yrs ago. I can barely pay my bills now every week

Not sure where you work atiboy, but you obviously can't count if your commission was cut in half. I guess you missed the base pay and the bonus - but then again you probebly just lost alot of your business therefore your lower paycheck. Go to work, man.

As per George Costanza on Seinfeld, “A gift donation has been made in your honor to the Human fund.”

We usually get a bonus in the end of a year, and this practive is just right. Otherwise why to even work for them the whole year? [confused][confused]

Did you say SALESFORCE has a recommended gift for you to buy for Sysco customers?

Absolutely outrageous that underpaid EMPLOYEES of a fortune 500 company are expected to purchase Christmas gifts for their customers. ABHORRENT

The corporate climate in this country is vile and barbaric.

How many more unsavory adjectives can I come up with?!?! LOL

Jeez guys have yourself a stiff drink and stop working so hard. The Christmas gift list in Salesforce.com is a joke, don't knock yourself out trying to find it.

Have a Merry Christmas and a great New Year!

Still a great question.. What if anything are you doing for your customers ? I am planning on buying a few cases of a locally produced nice retail size honey ham , cheese and crackers for some of my long timers and we have a fancy company calendar that I will give to the rest.

Free company calendars and I make Spice Drop Cookies for most of my customers.   Feels like I don't spend too much money that way, just time making cookies every nite  [smile]
