Hi, long time reader, first time poster.

Considering making a move to management or at least I know I’m going to be asked to consider a move. I work in outside sales now and have had some moderate success in the short time I’ve been living in this crazy world.

Just looking for some thoughts. Feedback? There’s pros and cons and I’d greatly appreciate the wide array of opinions I know exist on this forum. Has anyone here made that jump? Has anyone here made the jump and then gone back?

When opportunity knocks it is always good to listen. Although I know nothing of your situation, hopefully your opportunity is with a team who believe you'r the right fit. With proper support the change can me great with a whole different set of duties and challenges. When you'r advancing your career it will be a benefit at your current employer as well as future employers.

True. Everything comes from corporate. Even district meetings. Our DSM got a "meeting-in-a-box" with what to discuss each month.
