I have it from the horses mouth, US will cut deals if you are threatening to leave and show them the deal in writing, because of the new commission system. Heard it from a regional VP. Time to fight for yourselves, don't wait.

Too bad no amount of guaranteed pay can guarantee you can do your job and service your customers properly. They will prop you up until your customer base is forced to leave you, because you can’t take care of their needs and then they will squeeze you out. Then what? It’s better to run now and keep your customers. Seen this game way too many times.

I guess you'll get paid a lot for losing accounts to Sysco!

The really big writers will get whatever they want from management. The rest will suffer in silence or leave.

If you have the chance to move to another distributor, especially an independent, LEAVE NOW AND BEAT THE RUSH.

The majority of the sales force will lose money on the new "route compensation" plan. USF will keep moving the bar so you will never be able to catch up. The big hit will come in January when TMs will be charged for customers' credit cards service charges and rebates from contracts and national flyers.

If you are lucky enough to open a new account, it won't show up in your pay until the following quarter.

So the word on the street is that Tim Leyva and Gary Shen at USF Corono are each being paid 400k per year to stay and not go to Sysco. The rest of the salesforce will have to adhere to the new 30% reduction in pay this July.

Whatever the deal, you better make it really good.  Really, REALLY good.
Because once you burn that bridge, you'll never be able to go back.
And word gets around.
So when your new deal is done at USF, good luck.

That's a lot of money for the amount of business they are writing. I know there are a few TMs who write over $15 million a year. Are Tim and Gary in that group?

How long will the deal last? How much more business will they have to write to justify this type of payout?

Us Western PA has couple guys also all of them earn it except for one up in the great white north" Erie" rumor inside he has a guarantee of 150 k. Funny thing his margin is the lowest in that district he sells programs and gives rebates to keep accounts. Drivers tell me his accounts hate him except when he give them rebates.
