Hey guys/girls. I have a question for everyone. I’m a driver for USF. Does anybody know if they are going to be getting new scanners anytime soon. I’ve seen Sysco and even Cheney Bro have updated scanners. Being one of the largest Foodservice companies, I would of figured they would be more to date with this stiff

Sorry FoodserviceDriver, it's all about the stock holders now with USF.

All publicly held companies are more concerned with shareholder dividends than anything else. You'll get upgraded equipment if there's any money left over after dividends are paid. That's why USF no longer pays salespeople commission. Too much money not going to the bosses and shareholders.

Sysco’s scanners aren’t an upgrade. Smaller than the ones previously used, easier to handle, but less durable. Anytime it rains they quit working.

The scanners CBI uses aren't that new and McLane uses them also. It's basically a Zebra phone w/the software developed in house. If anything they may be more compact than the ones your using.
