I suspect this will be the tip of the proverbial iceberg...price fixing in Canada at large retailer. Many others, including Walmart, are also under investigation!

One of the better articles(although it's dated) regarding the huge sums of money flowing underneath the business. Does anyone really believe General Mills spent $2.25 billion of their own money on retail promotions in 2003? Like foodservice this cost is borne by the consumer/user/eater.

By the way the article mentions General Mills CEO Stephen Sanger(sp?) as being under investigation by SEC. This same Stephen Sanger would go over to Wells Fargo where he would get caught up in the Wells scandal of creating fake insurance, credit card accounts, etc. so he could "tax" the Wells Fargo customers by these phony accounts. Exactly what he helped to facilitate in the food business. Sanger had to resign his position on Wells Fargo board.
