I heard Corporate might close the City of Industry branch next July. Sales are way down, about 1/2 of what they were a couple of years ago. Sales team down to around 18 and falling. Management team is very weak. Very sad situation. Hope they can pull it out...

Roma/COI has never been a strong competitor. The sales force never embraced the PFG broadline approach. They were fat, dumb and happy selling flour, canned tomatoes and mozzarella. The only time I ever saw a Roma truck at an independent restaurant was in San Diego.

If it wasn't for Sub-Way, they woudn't have any trucks on the street. I'm sure that Restaurant Depot will hire some of the sales reps. Most of them wouldn't even make it at one of the local mom-and-pop distributors.
