I'm just curious if any companies out there have given any salesman any directive in this turmoil?  Such as pay?  Cold calls?  Normal calls?  I'm in a state that has ban dine in eating, but no directive on what is expected of us.

My guess is there may be some thinning of the herd however smart money goes to positioning yourself as a company to capitalize on growth once this thing subsided

My company is laying off nearly 50% of its staff; mostly in operations and sales and sales support.  But there is at least one person from each department that is gone.

It's all about business mix, customer base and the ability to make changes on the fly.

We figure in our market, this is an 8-12 week reduction of sales of as much as 60-70%.  With no real expectations of returning to 100% before Q4.

There is a lot of Doomsday going on out there.  And I can understand why.
But the real hope is that when things come back, they come back strong as people decide they want to get out and eat outside their house!

Those that survive will be those with little to do debt, and cash reserves.
