No more local order departments? Where is the call center located?

Call centers will be located in Charlotte and Las Vegas. Hope this works out better than the credit department debacle from last April. No more customer service at the opco level as we know it.

Why not just get together with the rocket scientists at US Foods and merge call and credit centers? It's obvious that the only thing both companies care about is shareholder dividends. It's all about how much they can cut to get their bonuses and keep the shareholders happy.

They don't care if TMs and MAs make any money. All they care about is selling Scoop (and the Sysco equivalent), and making sure that reps fill out their CRM.

I'm so glad I'm done with this business.

Do the opcos have resident credit managers or is that also gone to the call centers?

I miss the days when you could go into the office and plead your case in person to the credit manager. Or have him tear up a credit app in front of you.

I hear credit is handled remotely via phone tree --Press 1 if your a valued customer. Press 2 if your a sales person- that sort of thing -not very personal.

Sysco's customer service is going to be handled by a third party customer service company that is currently getting trained on foodservice lingo. Most of our customer service reps at my opco have been given other jobs at Sysco. We'll see how that goes. We were pleasantly surprised with how well the centralized credit transition went. They extended grace periods so accounts don't go on hold as fast, which alleviates the need for most calls into credit. However our DSO as a company has gone to crap so I am sure they will tighten things up.

Dino Nugget must work from one of the special USF "Hub's".  We don't have credit departments in house anymore at USF.  They're only in the "Area Hubs".
I work at a non-Hub and this place is gutted.  We often wonder when they'll walk the rest of us out the door.
