I’m supper jealous but very happy for those who got there check. I’m still dumb founded on how and why mine got recined. It sounds like most individuals got there checks and very few got declined. Merry Xmas all, hope you all have a safe and happy holiday.

Good point. I just thought it was a possibility since they did it in 2016 and 2017. But you bring up a good point.

New to the message board I am an ex employee recently turned in my notice to sysco about 8 months now and a friend told me about the buy out. My question is does any one know if there is a buy out or checks being mailed for 2018. And what are the phone numbers to call to find out more info

To all, much like Sixteen & a Half, I am looking to see about the info on the Pension buyout … I just got "laid off" after nearly 20 yrs there, since my position was "eliminated by corporate" - and I wasn't willing to go backwards for this GD company (anymore) after 2-3 pay cuts due to re-alignments, reorganizing, I am done with the Cube/Good Things bullshit, especially after all the high performances I was producing for those corporate F-nuts up there …

Anyway, off my Anti-Sysco soapbox … I would appreciate any info on the pension buy out … I went back and read a few messages and the phone number listed earlier doesn't exist (maybe another budget cut on phone lines or maybe I just missed the bus)

Thanks to All -- All of you that worked to make Sysco what it was in the 90's and early to mid 2000's - Wow, it was a GREAT company then, however the last 5 years has gone to Hell and a hand bag.

Cabbage, If you substitute US Foods for Sysco, it's essentially the same situation. All that maters is shareholders' dividends. Both companies will screw the sales forces that got them to where they are to give the shareholders an extra 10 cents a share.

In his 2006 letter to Shareholders retired Sysco founder John Baugh credited "Gustave Levy" and his Goldman Sach's investment firm for creating Sysco Foodservice. He further stated that agreements with Levy and Goldman Sach guarantee a "stipend" into eternity for the Wall Street investment firm.

https://www.nytimes.com/1976/11/08/archives/rockefeller-eulogizes-gustave-levy-of-wall-street-as-fabulous.html

As an side bar the media reports that US life expectancy has dropped for the third straight year. They blame drugs and suicide.
