Did they say when the letters would be sent? I got a letter today stating if all documents were correct I would receive payment December 2017. Like everyone else just wish I knew what timeframe in December

They said you won’t find out if it’s rescinded until end of December. It’s crazy. I guess it’s a small chance of it being rescinded. Just if they go over their budget number. But sure would be nice if they could tell us. Especially when you’re trying to buying property

Nice, then you probably have more than I do coming. The problem is 10% will be held on my penalty, plus they will hold 20% for federal taxs. Not to mention state will be paid when I do my taxes. So I’ll only get 1/2 the lump sum. Thanks Mr tax guy.

I am contemplating the buyout, and I will be 59 1/2 in mid-December.  Can I avoid the additional 10% tax if I don't cash the check until I'm 59 1/2 or is it based upon the issue date of the check? I may wait until I'm 65 if that's the case...

Seriously?  You've got one day to make your decision and you're still contemplating.[confused]  Procrastinate much concerning important financial decisions?[rolleyes]

Just an fyi,  it's the date of the check that counts.  Sysco reports that to the IRS and the IRS doesn't have a sense of humor.

"Seriously"  maybe you should be totally informed before being so judgemental.
I moved, and the documents were mailed to the wrong address (Sysco error). I wasn't even aware of offer until I received packet the day I posted inquiry.  Yes, I spoke to my tax accountant - and realize the importance of these financial decisions.  Was looking for quick input after hours when on line was only option -- but trolls like you don't get that.
Merry Christmas to you, happy bottom....

I had 16 years of service when I left. I wish I could get an offer one of these days.
