Way over rated. Commercial says swiss cheese tastes like it because milk comes from switzerland. Sign on deli counter says no gluten in any products. Whose cold cuts have gluten? Who's buying this bull?

damn retired...all sales people put the best sell forward, highlight and up sell, anyone who has been successful in our industry for the long haul built their reputation on quality, We have all sold against the Boar's Head brand and they do a great job in marketing the deli cabinet from way back. We have been trying to catch up for 20 frickin years and still fall way short in the complete package. Boar's Head in the deli case gives instant credibility to the housewife. As much as I hate to say it.

It's good to proud of what you have there headman.  I think Boars head meats are totally worth the price!  the rest of these guys must not be finding the gold strewn throughout the product and the case...

I sat through a training seminar for Jennie-O. Flippin disgusting! One of the lower end turkey breasts cannot be left out of the fridge because it melts!

And what a pain to sell against that product. We don't even carry something that BAD.

Same with ham... no I won't sell you this ham for $1.99 to match your Reinhart price on the ham AND WATER you've been buying.

Boar's Head has really done a great branding job. Hope they are evolving with consumer demands for additive free, ABF and cage free product.

Your right the housewife is buying this crap like the kids saying i want to eat at McDonalds so the family goes there.  I have sold against this brand for 30+ yrs succesfully. Just sayin who is buying the bull. Sara Lee. Old Neighborhood, Deitz and Watson make great quality stuff for less. Yes Boars head have spent a lot on Marketing their product but I refuse to pay the price when there are plenty of other quality alternatives. I worked for Kraft for 15 yrs milk from Switzerland is the same as the milk that makes Kraft swiss.
