What is up at the work horse US Foods Lexington? Pedro can't let the #1 division in sales and profit alone? When the monkeys come take over all hell breaks loose.

Probably trying to keep TMs from leaving now that the new pay plan is in effect. People in So Cal have been leaving as fast as they can line something up with another supplier.

At least Jim Miller was smart enough to leave the work horses alone; Bridgeport and Swedesboro, for instance.  There were so many other branches that needed "love and attention", he just didn't bother the ones that turned in fantastic sales and profit numbers, regardless of what they bought and sold outside of the "corporate programs".

Seems this regime that came in after Larry Benjamin just don't know when to leave well enough alone.

Jim Miller was too busy scamming vendors to bother the individual divisions.

This division may be #1 in sales and profit, however their salespeople are not making squat..Most T.M.s are not making much more than 1% - 1.5% to sales..Infact I know a few reps selling 90 - 110k a week barely making 1000.00 a week in commission..This division pays the lowest compensation to sales reps in the entire company - and you will work your a$$ off to get this pittance...Upper management keeps most of the profit so they can look like heros and get a big star on their brownie chart.
Also many reps are working several 1 percent program accounts that should be managed inside.. So their numbers might look good at the end of the week, but their pay check sure doesn't - and there is less time to look for profitable business, due to being tied up managing these low profit accounts....

They are only #1 because of Military business! That and the fact they are delivering all the way into Georgia.

I had thought that US Foods in Rock Hill, SC was the power house in the SE.

Actually Rock Hill, Lexington and Raleigh all are about the same and jockey for #1 each year with Lexington on top most often.

What does the whole list look like?  Who is at the bottom?

Ah the company promotes those at the top and not those at the bottom.
