I think they might. Corona is a shell of its former self. Barely any sales people there at all and not hiring any either. I don’t know how long they can justify keeping it open. I also think Temecula will be handed over to SD soon, shrinking Corona even more.

It's really sad to see what San Diego has become. We lost another DSM last week.

Time roll up Corona and San Diego and either find a new warehouse in between the two or ship everything out of La Mirada. Thoughts?

Big?
We are down to only two DSM's... Wonder Boy Josh and Hollywood Holley.
BTW, we have a total of 22 reps... UCSD is moving to Sysco and word is we are about to lose some big business. Our VP of Sales is totally clueless and Mike and Josh have no idea what to do.

Josh is all Fluff and no substance. He's trying to backstab the VP so he's the front runner for the job. God help us if that day every comes.

Maybe we need another pep talk from Graylon and Steve to motivate us again, NOT..... They're both full of S*** and have washed their hands of San Diego. There's only three people that can bring this company back.
Take a look at the company management structure in 2014 for SanDiego and you have your answer.
Somebody throw us a lifeline,

Sincerely, San Diego USF sinking ship

Specialists don't do anything for me. They don't understand my customers' needs. ROCs are only interested in large volume accounts who want all the Value Added crap.

Many of us oldtimers have been doing for years what the specialists try to do today. Showing products to customers is what we have always done.

Supposedly, the new business model will give us more time to do this. But the new compensation program won't reward you for it.

Well, It happened again. We lost another Big account to Sysco (Board N Brew 12 Million).
Looks like Boy Blunder is not the answer (Josh Downing) to saving San Diego... it's time for Corporate to step in and bring the folks back that built San Diego. Yes, Jason, Jeff, Janis and everyone else that left due to the pending Sysco merger and bad decisions by Steve Humphrey. Our current VP of Sales is totally clueless and has no idea what to do to save the division. His only concern is to get out of San Diego and get back to the East Coast.

Hey Pietro, Get off your A** and make the call to bring back our great leaders.

Sincerely,
The few Veterans that are left in the building.

Dear dog pound,

As I used to run the frequent flyer program for Air Canada, please except my sincerest apologies for not having a clue in understanding that foodservice is, well, about food AND service.

At this time, I am only concerned with messages from stockholders.

However, rest assured, I have some "ideas" up my sleeve that should take us to the next level.  They won't involve shipping the right products, to the right customers, on time, without shorts (or forced subs) and at the right prices.  But hey, you can't have everything.

Lovingly,
Pietro

Dog Pound,

Sorry to hear things have gone to h**l in San Diego. Corona doesn't seem any better.  La Mirada is still screwed up despite the rah-rah emails from Graylon and Nicolazzi. The new model for USF doesn't involve actually putting cases on the truck. It's all about making sure Salesforce is up to date, that you're showing VAS to everybody, whether the need it or want it, and participating in Chatter. I'm glad I'm gone.

I hear there is a new deputy in town in SD. The dreaded consultant is now in management. Good luck.
