Any other USF TM's find our new approach to menuing less personal, and more expensive!
This used to be an expense for US to drive value to our customers by providing a solution. It gained respect and loyalty. Now it is another profit center.
It was origainlly pitched as being at cost but that changed when the new scoop spiff started.
Do other distributors do this?

Judging by the new commission plan, TMs are a profit center for U S Foods too.

Our Division starts the new commission plan in April. I can't wait to find out how bad we're going to get screwed.

I think them menu program is solid.

Today I worked with a customer that wanted 100 printed on heavy paper with gloss for $61. He said he paid over $200 last time at the local printer.

Our division is promising to make us whole. Hopefully yours delivers the same promise . Honestly the commission structure doesn't look so bad on IR accounts. Where it looks bad is on contracts, credit cards, customers with rebates. Now if they're going to we evaluate it and put everybody on higher subsidies and hybrid salaries that's fine by me. Ultimately it's IR accounts that drive better results so that should be the focus of every rep.
