Wow what a mess in Philly.

As of June 1 USF lost Salad works. That is 11,000 cases/ week. Gordon came and took the business due to high pricing by USF.

One of the Top reps is gone. Managers are fed up with company polices.

A new Kid arrived with a smart ass attitude. Thinks he know everything at 35 years old. The reps call him the "Clown". Some how he bull shitted his way to VP sales. Hope he is renting and not buying a house here.

The best buyers are gone. The out of stocks are terrible

Bill Speed , fired a few years back at USF by Stuart S. thinks he can run Procurment. He is clueless and has the respect of no one.

Transprotation has cut delivery days. Ernie and Andy are cutting service in order to make budget.

The result is NO GROWTH for the last 12 months.

All of our managers are in Vegas taking notes on ways to screw the sales force. Who do I call for help today, the ship is sinking fast.

The new President stays in Allentown counting his Beans all day.

It won't be long before one of the buildings will be closed due to lack of business.

Good bye PHILLY

Avendra is moving from USF-So Cal to Shamrock. Thousands of cases gone. Average delivery was 300 cases per unit.

DSMs are being brainwashed in Las Vegas. I can't wait to hear all about the new bullshit we'll be required to do. Whatever happened to selling and taking care of customers?

My manager just told me lots of changes. We either go with the program or we can look for a new job.

Edge is going away soon. We are going to be using I pads.  The new comm program is paying some reps to much so its being re done to screw us some more.

This place is just hell to most of us.

Kevin M is all freaked out about the cheese order that the new buyer in Chicago forgot to place.

Guys, just tell your customers we will have cheese coming a week late. Maybe they can take any items with cheese off the menu for the week while we scramble to fill in the shortages.

I AGREE WITH YOUR THOUGHTS.

Just heard yesterday that Ky won't even allow a cake for the folks who are wiped out next week from purchasing. I guess the good bye to them will be the management team waving good bye.

All of my fellow reps a heads up, the folks in credit were giving us a heads up if a credit app was submitted by another supplier. The word is that you wont get  a heads up anymore. They just don't care about us.

Or VP of sales is just  focused on his own self advancement. He only cares if it improves his image and bonus. The same attitude is evident in Ernie, Hetzel, and that Jack....  Billy Speedo.

What else Can I say except it may be time to pack our bags.

Pietro, I know you read this web site some times, so maybe you can step in here and fix this Disaster. It all needs to start at the top and clean this place out of all the poison in the kitchen. Otherwise we wont be Keeping Kitchens cooking for Long.

Can someone in Allentown get the Local number for AA for Steve H and Joe N. Those 2 boys look like they never went to bed at every sales meeting. Seems like the two of them are Intoxicated and red eyed the next morning at the General sales meeting. Maybe Ky should wear glasses and take a look at those 2, or better yet look at the bar tab.

Maybe, they are just still pissed off that the VP sales Philly got the Job and Joe and Steve didn't. I can taste the bad blood with those 3 together. Jason better clean his act up or he will be replaced by Joe N or maybe the "nasty one"  Chris T.

Can someone update me on whats going on in Philly. I see some issues are also brewing in Metro. Is john OC on the war path?  I have been off line for a bit and I am now back.
How is John O C putting up with all this BS. My guess is soon or later he is going to punish someone under him. Who will he make an example of, any suggestions to share?

John OC I hear is telling his folks to lower comm and raise the pad to do it. Must be pressure from above and Wall st. Div presidents are trying to hold off in fear of reps may leave.

Seems like Phila USF is still in the hole, more like a crater. The numbers show they are in the hole, and dragging JOC region down with them.  Its  a year since the strikers from Baltimore started the downward spiral. The Phila folks just cant get over the issues. No more transfers, no buyers, lack of management, overloaded trucks and miserable sales reps. Sooner or later Someone is going to figure out that JOC must GO! The managers are just along for the ride until the end.
Maybe  Steve & Joe  have the right idea, Bourbon. It makes you forget your problems.

Has anyone heard that  Sysco is looking at buying USF again. Rumors on Wall street are that the Trump folks will most likely get it thru. Its possible that is why the USF stock is where its at today. The company is only making more money due to cuts in salary, comm to reps and lay offs. What will they be able to do next year to keep the profits up. I imagine the easiest path will be to cut bonus money and Reps Comm.

The Upper management team is only praying that Sysco comes along for another shot at buying them. They will all cash out Rich, and leave another mess behind. That will result in mass layoffs of reps, drivers and purchasing people. Can this be possible? You bet it can!

I just heard about this web site from a fellow rep at USF. This is a great site, wish I had heard of it a few years ago. I must agree with some of the stuff on here. I have worked at usf Bridge for a few years.
Being a rookie rep is very hard here. I get no respect or help from others. The old guard gets the help and new accounts. I have to fight for early deliveries and leads. Jason has only been here a short time, but he walks by me like I don't even exist. His co captain C.T is no better. They never cut me a break, in fact CT has an attitude towards the newer reps. Maybe he should keep in mind he was a new guy at one time. I have heard that he was a Pizza rep with a small route in DE. Then he went to NY as VP sales before getting himself in some kind of trouble with the Women there. Now he is back in Phila. Chris should get a heart! Lately it seems impossible to grow my sales here. I am so frustrated, but I need the Job for my family. Maybe we can all stick together and make things better, or find a place where we can go as a small group. Not sure how much more I can take of this kind of treatment and pressure.

I am hearing that some reps in Phila have been told that they are on PIP. Not sure what that really means. Can anyone please tell me what that is. My manager told me I need to open a new acct every month. I wish I could but it seems almost impossible here unless you get a good lead from someone. I walk into make a cold call and most of the time the owner does not want to deal with USF. Lots of different reason I hear. The only people who are a little interested are pizza shops, where I have to sell Grande at no margin. The company called Kast is way below me when I quote. Can anyone suggest where to go? The problems here are not being addressed, just ignored.

I am getting no help from management, just pressure to open new customers. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to make this work?

Can you ever make money selling cheese to pizza shops? I've never seen a markup higher than 10c/#, and even that's on smaller accounts. Sounds like you need to back to sales school. At least in the pizza world, you use the cheese to get in the door, then sell napkins, straws, gloves etc. All the cheese and flour I sell is at a loss. But you can be sure as sh!t the GP% on the order is positive at the end of the day.

We may not know what we're doing, but we're doing it brilliantly.

The new slogan replacing Keeping Kitchen Cooking.
