Bakemark Corporation

Where do i start?

How about Corporate Management.

It stems from the top, if you’re not part of the Oregon Parker Mafia or in the circle of trust you're consider an outsider. We thought the direction under the old CEO was Crazy, it's a circus under Parker. Gary’s leadership was misguided and was ruled by the two headed monster (Steve and Matt). The region VP's are running scared and the new VP of Sales (aka Huckleberry Finn) is going to save the company with the New Sales Performance Process. Branch leadership is powerless to make a decision and if they do it needs to be blessed by 10 people. Company moral is at an all time low sales reps are frustrated due to lack of support, GM's have zero empowerment to make a decision. All decision are cascaded down from VP leadership who have Zero sales experience.

intimidation is the norm and threaten everyone with their jobs is a daily occurrence. It's all about the customer is complete BS, it's about beating everyone up and demanding more with less. March 15th is Bonus payout day; can't wait and see when GM’s across the company start leaving.

Sincerely,
The Pope

During these unprecedented times we should be out opening new business that's the direction that's being pushed down from the top. Unbelievable direction. Every rep should open a minimum of 2-5 accounts every month. What a heartless company with no clear leadership. The human resource department is nowhere to be found and senior leadership is only concerned about selling Knoxbridge flour.

God save the Queen

Well, the new SDP will save the company. This form will put BakeMark back on the map.
What will come first; the respirators from Washington or the firing of Huckleberry Finn.

BakeMark

90% of the country is in lock down but BakeMark executive team is demanding that every rep still be in the field opening new business. Where's the compassion for your employees Mr Parker, or is it solely about profit and lining your already deep pockets?
Fallout has already started, GM in West has resigned more to follow.

Just exactly how are you supposed to open new business when everyone is closed, and worrying about how they're going to pay their current suppliers?

BakeMark is the most unethical company i have ever worked for in my 10+ years in foodservice. Daily emails and threats about opening business and being in the field while  other companies are instructing their salesforce to work from home.

I worked for them for a few years. I left with the original structure change with their upper management. GM's were stripped of all authority. It was my understanding that they decided to give the GM's more authority but apparently not.
At the time, there was a gorilla in the purchasing that was incapable of understanding the sales process and was only concerned about dicking you over. They lost tremendous talent since that time and we all have never looked back.

Black Friday will hit BakeMark on Friday.
Driver's, Warehouse and office personal will be let go this Friday.
What about the corporate office?
I can give you 5 names that produce nothing to the bottom line.

I did have a conversation with a few at Dawn and was told business was booming. Is Bakemark not seeing that as well?
